Field note
Welcome to my field notes
Why I wanted a small place for robotics, AI, craft, and unfinished thoughts.
This site is a place to write down what I learn while building intelligent systems.
My career has crossed several kinds of physical intelligence: control systems for a MAGLEV train, robot manipulation in simulation and the real world, visual evaluation for cooking, and digital humans for games. The applications are different, but I keep returning to the same questions:
- How do we turn an interesting model into a useful system?
- What changes when an algorithm meets the physical world?
- How can people with different technical and cultural backgrounds build together?
I plan to use these notes for research explanations, implementation details, tools worth remembering, and observations from outside work. Some entries will be carefully edited; others will simply be useful things I do not want to forget.
The site itself is intentionally simple. Each post is an ordinary Markdown file, so writing stays separate from maintaining a content-management system.
